Richard Ajasa

Trustee

Starting my journey in community development and in the field of social work. I found calling in child and family services, where I dedicated a number of years to supporting vulnerable children and their families and steadfast in advocating for those who needed it the most, making an indelible impact on their lives.

Currently, I have transitioned to working with adults with disabilities and their families, embracing the opportunity to extend my compassion to this segment of society. I am a true family enthusiast. When not at work, I cherish spending quality time with my own family, creating lasting memories that mirror the importance of family bonds I bring to my work.

My love for reading about families and reflecting on my practice is a testament to my commitment to continuous improvement. I believe that embracing new knowledge and insights and the strength-based approach ensures that I focus on the resilience and capabilities of the people I support.

While I tirelessly helping others, I also understand the importance of self-care. I understand the significance of "minding one's mind." I am committed to self-care. I see life as a journey, an inspiring opportunity and the power of empathy and love in transforming lives.
